Whether you’re a resident or a visitor to Orlando, at some point you need to do an air-boat ride. It’s a unique enough experience that it’s worth doing, even if just once, and it’s worth taking your tourist guests on as well.
Marsh Landing Adventures has won multiple awards in Orlando Airboat Reviews for its rides and alligator tours. Located 20 miles south of Orlando and 30 minutes from the Disney area, Marsh Landing Adventures takes visitors on 60-minute, 90-minute, two-hour, and half-day rides over 22,700 acres of Lake Toho. The longer rides take guests into Shingle Creek, which is the headwaters of the Florida Everglades.
What to Expect
You’ll be in a flat-bottomed boat that can accommodate six people. Be prepared to wear headphones because the sound of the propeller is extremely loud. If there are more than six people in your group, multiple boats will go out together.
What You’ll See
Regardless of the length of your tour, you’ll have the opportunity of seeing bald eagles, Everglades hawks, alligators, spoonbills, deer, wild pigs, limpkins, herons, egrets, pelicans, snakes, turtles, and birds. You’ll also see a variety of plant life both aquatic and land-based.
