Every time I hear the word ‘activities’ I think of the movie Stepbrothers. I can’t help it. But that’s probably a good thing, because the word itself makes me happy, and if we can connect positive thoughts with things, we are more likely to stick with them. Another thought about the word ‘activities’ is the 30 minutes you should be engaging in each and every day.
Committing to 30 minutes of activities will help speed up your weight loss journey, and it’s really not hard to squeeze an extra 30 minutes out of your daily routine. Just think…30 minutes of power walking can be accomplished while walking the dog, or on the way back from taking the kids to the bus stop, or in place of watching television after dinner. Too cold to walk outdoors? What about 30 minutes of exercise using your Wii and one of your children to pass the time faster.

Don’t fall for the old excuse, “I haven’t got time. I work all day. I’m tired.” or whatever else you’re telling yourself! Thirty minutes for 30 days. Can you commit to that? How about thirty minutes for 3 days? Whatever it takes to psyche you out and get you to start. Starting is half the battle!
